Video - The Field Archive

The Video Field within The Field Archive records places as they are encountered over time. Rather than isolating events or constructing narrative, these works preserve duration—allowing landscapes, movement, weather, architecture, and changing conditions to remain intact.

Each work begins with a Data Frame recording the locations, times, and soundtracks present during its creation. The videos themselves remain intentionally silent.

Rather than embedding a soundtrack into the work, the Data Frame invites viewers to select one of the listed tracks and loop it while watching. Each soundtrack produces a different encounter with the same moving image.
