The Talk is the first public presentation of EZRA.

Originally presented for Pridebox, Dropbox’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group during Pride Month, the talk introduces the artistic practice through the same principles that shape the work itself: duration, context, and sustained attention. Rather than explaining the system from a distance, it offers an opportunity to experience its ideas as they unfold.

The presentation was moderated by Wen Noah Li, Pridebox Co-Lead, whose invitation and organization made the event possible. Additional support was provided by Erin Skolte and Cat Obuhoff for audiovisual production and event logistics.

This recording restores the original conditions of the presentation. It is accompanied by Thomas Newman’s The James Bond Theme (from SPECTRE)—the same composition heard by the audience during the live event. Within the work, the music functions not as accompaniment but as structure: establishing the emotional and perceptual conditions under which the ideas are encountered.

Like the work itself, The Talk does not ask to be completed in a single sitting or interpreted in a particular way. It is an invitation to spend time with the practice and allow its relationships to emerge naturally.

If you wish to continue beyond this presentation, The Deck provides the visual framework presented during the talk, while the Human Archive and Non-Human Archive demonstrate how those ideas are realized throughout the work.
