Bridge Crossing

Bridge Crossing preserves a single bridge crossing in continuous sequence.

Photographed during sunset on July 6, 2026, while crossing the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Portland, Maine, the series records a shared journey as it was experienced from a moving vehicle.

As Wen drove, the artist photographed the crossing through the passenger window, preserving the changing light, structure, and movement in continuous sequence.

Each image preserves the exact conditions under which it was captured through its accompanying metadata, including time, location, camera settings, and recording information.

Each photograph is a complete archival fragment.

Together, the sequence preserves a crossing that could not be represented by a single frame.

Only through return did the event reveal itself as both a physical passage and a relational one.
