Most of it passes by.
But sometimes, something stays.
Sometimes we don’t understand why something stays with us.
A photograph we return to.
An object we can’t throw away.
A song that becomes attached to someone.
A place that feels different years later.
Time can reveal relationships we couldn’t see before.
Sometimes one thing connects to something else.
Something from years ago suddenly makes sense.
Something ordinary becomes important.
Something we thought we understood changes.
Meaning doesn’t always arrive when something happens.
Sometimes it arrives later.
EZRA began by paying attention to what stayed.
Photographs, objects, songs, places, documents, and moments were kept, revisited, and allowed to accumulate over time.
Eventually, relationships began to appear.
What began as a way of paying attention became an art practice.
