New York City occupies a foundational place within the Human Archive.
From 2011 through 2025, it was where Seth Dager lived, worked, and developed the earliest foundations of what would later become EZRA.
Many of the relationships, objects, photographs, routines, and observations that now form the archive originated here.
These photographs do not attempt to document New York comprehensively.
They preserve the city as it was encountered through daily life—its architecture, streets, weather, public spaces, changing light, and repeated return.
Together, they record the environment in which one chapter of the archive unfolded.
